London, Dublin and Connemara and Galway Bay

Tour LE09-DH04 - Three Day Tour
An enchanting day tour to the glorious West of Ireland where John Ford filmed "The Quiet Man". We arrive through Galway (the City of the Tribes), see Kylemore Abbey and explore Connemara which means "inlets of the sea".

ITINERARY

Day One:
Depart London Euston Station 09.10hrs, Then train to Holyhead Port and Cruise Ferry to Dublin arrival 17.25, then overnight in Dublin (See London Package Page)

Following Day:
Check in Dublin Heuston Station (Customer Service Desk) for 07.10 departure of Intercity train to Galway (light breakfast available).
On arrival in Galway we transfer to our waiting coach and strike out along the shores of Galway Bay and into the region know as Connemara. Our lunch stop is in the little fishing village of Roundstone and its views of the Twelve Bens mountain range. Our next stop is at the unique Coral Beach on this wild Atlantic coast. We see where Alcock and Brown crash landed in 1919 after the first ever transatlantic flight, this is also where Marconi sent the first wireless messages to America, we then visit the pretty town of Clifden - Connemara's capital for a shopping stop and the fabulous sky road, see Kylemore Abbey (photo stop only) and we return to Galway via the Inagh Valley with the Maam Turks Mountain range on our left for our return Intercity train to Dublin Heuston station arriving at 21.00 (9.00pm). (light meals and full bar available)

Overnight in Dublin in a three star hotel convenient for Central Bus Station (Busaras).

Last day:
Depart Dublin Busaras (Central Bus Station) 06.45 for bus transfer to Dublin Ferry port for 08:05 cruise ferry departure to Holyhead and train to London Euston arriving 16:38.
